Henry (Skip) Weber

I retired as a Detective Lieutenant from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey in 1996. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University. My wife Barbara, and I moved to Fort Myers from Paramus, NJ. We have two children and three grandchildren.

At an early age I began sketching, but started watercolor painting after retirement. I became motivated by my late friend, artist Jack Smith of Cape Coral. I have been mostly self taught and taken classes and workshops at the Cape Coral Art Studio, Cape Coral Art League, and Pine Island Art Assoc. A recent instructor was Bob Fagan.

I feel that my art is a never ending learning process. I have been known for my use of vivid colors in my paintings of a wide variety of subject matter. I started painting in the realism style with watercolor, but lately have expanded to impressionistic and abstract styles with the use of acrylics.
